Teferi Mekonnen Bekele ( or ) is an associate professor of History at the Institute of Ethiopian Studies of Addis Ababa University. He served as Dean of Students of Addis Ababa University. His main research interests are in the hydropolitics of the Nile Basin, Ethiopia’s relations with neighbouring countries, conflict resolution, economic history and peoples’ interaction and integration. Teferi received BA, MA and PhD degrees in history from Addis Ababa University. He also did his post-doc at the University of South Africa. He is now serving as Deputy-Director of the Institute of Ethiopian Studies.
